EMERGENCY NEW RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED; KANGANA RANAUT, ANUPAM KHER-STARRER TO HIT THEATRES ON THIS DAY

Emergency Release Date: Kangana Ranaut will soon return to the big screen with the biographical drama 'Emergency'. The movie was initially announced in 2022 but its release date was delayed several times. The actress-politician has now announced the new release date of 'Emergency' and unveiled its new poster as well. The movie is based on the Indian Emergency which happened from 1975 to 1977 and Kangana will essay the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Announcing the release date, Kangana wrote on Instagram, "The Beginning of the 50th Year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter, Announcing #KanganaRanaut’s #Emergency In Cinemas on 6th September 2024. The Explosive Saga of The Most Controversial Episode of The History of Indian Democracy, #EmergencyOn6Sept in cinemas worldwide."

She collaborated with renowned prosthetic makeup artist David Malinowski for the film. The movie also stars Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.

Kangana has also directed 'Emergency' and the movie is written by Ritesh Shah.
