SALMAN KHAN ASSASSINATION PLOT: FROM RS 25 LAKH CONTRACT TO PROCURING ADVANCE WEAPONS; CHILLING DETAILS IN POLICE CHARGESHEET

The Mumbai Police divulged chilling details in a fresh chargesheet filed against five persons accused of plotting the assassination of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The miscreants have been charged with conspiracy to murder and other grave offences by the Navi Mumbai Police.

As per the chargesheet, cited by NDTV, the Bishnoi gang issued a contract worth Rs 25 lakh to kill the Bollywood actor. The conspiracy was hatched between August 2023 and April 2024.

The probe in the case disclosed that the gang planned to procure advanced firearms from Pakistan, such as AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and the Turkish-made Zigana pistol to execute their plans.

Similar weapons were used in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

Besides, as many as 70 persons were employed to track the movement of the Bollywood actor. Extensive surveillance was laid covering Khan’s Bandra residence, his Panvel farmhouse, and even the Goregaon Film City, which he visits at times.

The charge sheet alleges that boys under 18 were recruited to carry out the assassination and they were waiting for orders from the gang’s kingpin Goldie Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, who were reportedly operating from North America.

Firing Outside Salman Khan’s House:

In the early hours of April 14, two men on a motorcycle fired shots outside Salman's Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra. The crime branch subsequently apprehended Vikas Kumar Gupta and Sagar Kumar Pal, the two individuals suspected of carrying out the shooting, in Gujarat. Following the gunfire incident outside Khan's residence, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, claimed responsibility in an online post, describing it as a "preview" and issuing a warning to the Bollywood actor. As per the police sources, the gunmen were hired by Anmol Bishnoi and the duo was paid some amount of money for the crime.

Since the incident took place, Khan’s security has been beefed up. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde also visited Salman Khan’s house.
