SELMA BLAIR STEPS OUT WITH CANE IN EFFORTLESSLY CHIC DRESS AND COAT FOR PARIS FASHION WEEK

Actress Selma Blair hasn’t been afraid to push the envelope when it comes to her fashion choices as of late. Nor has she been ashamed of being caught in public with her cane.

The Cruel Intentions star was recently photographed in a get-up that screamed quiet luxury while in the City of Light. Paparazzi pictured Selma as she stylishly exited her hotel in Paris, France, to make her way to a fashion show for Paris Fashion Week. The celeb’s white linen feet-length dress complemented her bright-blonde tresses, which she had pinned back into an updo.

Draped over her shoulder was looked to be a dark brown shawl that was dusted in gold shimmer.

Selma’s cream-colored loafers paired well with her dress and hair; meanwhile, her large dark frames matched her chic shawl. In one hand she held on to her now-famed black walking cane, and hanging off of her opposite harm was what looked to be a red shopping bag.

The 1990s megastar walked with her head up high, exuding nothing but confidence. Selma is often photographed proudly using her can, indicating that she’s not afraid to let the world know she’s different. Last year, she became the face of people who live with disabilities after she was featured in British Vogue’s Reframing Issue in May 2023.

“The pages of the ‘Reframing Issue’ included 19 people with various disabilities and talents — spanning across sports, fashion, the arts and activism,” according to Today.

“The issue highlights how the fashion industry can be more inclusive, and adapt to better support the Disabled community,” the magazine stated, per the news outlet.

Throughout the issue, Selma was captured powerfully posing with her cane while styled in the most gorgeous outfits. Selma became a large voice within the disabled community after revealing in 2018 that she had multiple sclerosis.

“I have an emotional and physical attachment to the cane,” she told the British fashion publication. “I settle in my voice and body as soon as I hold [it]. It’s an extension of me. And I know it adds to visibility.”

She continued, “So many younger people have started publicly embracing their sticks more. I do think representation matters. If I can help remove stigma or over-curiosity in a crowd for someone else, then that’s great.”

The Legally Blonde alum credited her fellow disabled supporters with giving her the courage to use her voice to talk about what it’s like living with a disability.

“I couldn’t have made a move — sometimes literally — without my allies in the disabled community. They blow my mind,” she confessed.
