INSIDE COLDPLAY'S A-LIST GLASTONBURY AFTERPARTY AS THEY LET LOOSE WITH TOM CRUISE

Coldplay threw a huge party backstage after their headlining show at Glastonbury for A-listers, including Tom Cruise.

The Fix Me stars made history at Worthy Farm as they headlined the festival for the fifth time on Saturday. Insiders say that frontman Chris Martin, 48, was on “very bouncy form” as he flitted from person to person at the bash after the gig, which was also attended by actress, Jameela Jamil, and rapper, Little Simz.

While asking the star-studded crowd what they thought of the show on the Pyramid Stage, a source said the dad-of-two: “was just buzzing about how the show went.”

The Mirror's team at Glastonbury spotted Coldplay's crew huddled on stage as fans waited eagerly for the band to come out. Technicians eventually headed off the stage and a four-minute countdown appeared on a screen before the band kicked off their set at 10pm - making them 15 minutes late.

However, celebrities in the audience remained jovial before the Adventure of a Lifetime star took to the stage as Mission Impossible's Tom was snapped signing along with the crowd. He was joined by Simon Pegg and Gillian Anderson as they belted out Oasis' Don’t Look Back In Anger, shortly before Coldplay turned up. They were seen by fans standing on a platform next to the main stage and looked delighted with life as the tension mounted.

After finally gracing the stage before the perennial favourite, Yellow, Chris gushed: "I am so happy to see you. Thank you for coming. You look so beautiful." Later in the gig, there was a huge surprise for the audience when Hollywood star, Michael J.Fox, was brought out on stage. Welcoming the Back to the Future icon, Chris said: "Here's another legendary Michael - one who just totally rocks. With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he punched Biff, ladies and gentlemen please welcome Michael J Fox."

Michael was wheeled onto the stage and looked like he was having a ball as he performed with the band. Fans were also thrilled to see him and took to social media to share their thoughts. Still gobsmacked by the surprise cameo, one wrote: "Is there anything more wholesome than watching Michael J Fox rocking out on stage with #coldplay at #Glastonbury and absolutely loving it!" A second added: "Omg Michael j Fox. I'm in tears. #Glastonbury." A third wrote: "Michael J Fox on stage with Coldplay performing Fix You #Glastonbury."

Meanwhile, a fourth mused: "Turned on the Coldplay #Glastonbury set for a bit, only to see THE Michael J Fox on stage, strumming a guitar while Fix You rings out to thousands… that’s quite something. Not a massive Coldplay fan anymore but man, you can’t help but appreciate their talent for these things."
