SZA SHARES CRYPTIC POST AFTER GLASTONBURY SHOW PLAGUED WITH SOUND ISSUES AND SMALL CROWD

SZA has shared a cryptic post on social media after her Glastonbury headline set was hit with sound issues and a near-empty crowd.

There had been a lot of excitement ahead of SZA's show on Sunday. However the 34-year-old's performance had a disappointing turnout, leaving fans and followers suggesting that the event organisers had dropped the ball on her headline slot.

Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, SZA appeared to reflect on her experience, posting: "The bravery required to be alive in public is remarkable. S/o everybody doing that s***." Her message has already racked up more than 2,000 shares and received 14,000 likes.

SZA also opened up about her nerves during the performance on Instagram, admitting to fans: "I was legit shaking lmao but we made it." Despite the small crowd, SZA belted out some of her hit songs at Glastonbury, including F2F and Kiss Me More. However, viewers took to social media to express their dismay at the tiny crowds as the BBC broadcasted the event.

One viewer lamented: "The Pyramid Stage looks empty :(, thought was a strange one having SZA on the Sunday especially, hope she puts on the performance of the festival! #Glastonbury." Another chimed in: "oh dear.... not a very big showing for Sza. #Glastonbury."

The size of the crowd was further questioned by another fan: "Is it the @bbcglasto camera angles I'm seeing or is the #PyramidStage pretty quiet @glastonbury." A fourth added: "I don't know @sza but sad to see it so quiet on the last day."

One fan remarked: "It's a quite big crowd but it's not a Sunday night headline crowd is it? #Glastonbury." Meanwhile, another fan suggested a reshuffle of performers writing: "SZA, Dua Lipa, Coldplay. That should've been the order of the headliners this year in my opinion but #Glastonbury #Glastonbury2024."

Another attendee admitted: "Glastonbury have messed up big time here. Barely anyone here #SZA." Overcome with emotion, SZA spoke to the audience at Glastonbury.

Finishing up her set, she shared: "Glastonbury, I was so nervous to be here with you today. I'm so grateful, you have my deepest love and my deepest respect. I love you always, god bless you. Get home safely, my name is SZA, good night."
