LITTLE MIX'S JADE THIRLWALL SENDS FANS INTO FRENZY WITH SOLO DEBUT ANNOUNCEMENT

Jade Thirlwall has prompted excitement among fans with an announcement about her much anticipated debut solo single, which is set to be released later this month.

The singer-songwriter, 31 - who is best known as a member of the group Little Mix - has been teasing the new project in recent months. Jade has now confirmed the title of her solo debut and its release date, alongside a snippet of it. She took to Instagram and other platforms on Tuesday to share details about the upcoming track, which is titled Angel of My Dreams.

Jade told her followers that the single is now available to pre-save ahead of its release on July 19. Her post also included an apparent snippet of the song. She seemingly shared another lyric from the track in a separate post this week, in which she wrote alongside a photo of herself: "I'm in heaven when you're looking at me."

The news has been met with excitement among fans. Her bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock was among those who expressed support, with her writing in the comments section alongside heart-eyed emojis: "Let's gooooo."

Sharing their thoughts, one fan wrote: "AHHHH JADE! Finally. This is gonna be epic." Another said: "THE WAIT IS OVER." A third fan commented: "I'm freaking the hell out." Someone else reacted to the post: "Stop I'm gonna cry."

Another person wrote in the comments section: "Omfg it's happening." Someone else said: "I'm so excited." The sentiment was shared by others, including a fan who wrote: "I'm so hyped for this." Another said: "Goosebumps."

Angel of My Dreams marks Jade's first solo single since she rose to fame as a contestant on the X Factor in 2011. She went on to form the group Little Mix with Leigh-Anne, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson during the ITV series.

The Brit Award winning group have since released several chart-topping singles such as Black Magic and Shout Out to My Ex. It was announced in 2020 that Jesy had left the group, with the remaining members continuing as a trio. The trio are now on a hiatus, with them pursuing solo opportunities during the break.

Leigh-Anne released her debut solo single, Don't Say Love, and its follow-up, My Love, last year. Earlier this year she launched the EP No Hard Feelings. Perrie launched her solo career with the single Forget About Us in April and it's been followed-up by Tears, released just last month. Their former bandmate Jesy released her debut solo single, Boyz, which featured Nicki Minaj, in 2021. Last year, she released its follow-up, Bad Thing.

Jade is believed to have filmed a music video in London back in April ahead of her solo debut being released. Fans are now awaiting the release of Angel of My Dreams and an accompanying video.
