PALOMA FAITH SAYS DATING AFTER HER DIVORCE IS "LIKE THE WILD WEST"

Paloma Faith has opened up about the difficulties of dating after her painful divorce, saying: "It's like the Wild West." The Only Love Can Hurt Like This hitmaker, 42, is single after splitting from ex Leyman Lahcine. And while she insists she has no regrets - saying she chose not to "stay and suffer" - she admitted that the dating scene has posed it's own challenges for her.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, she said: "It's just a Wild West, isn't it? I feel like when I was single, before I broke up with my kids' dad it was like - we could just tell if you had a connection with somebody by chemistry and now it's sort of bureaucratic. It's like box ticking.

"But then also there is an argument to say that nature brings you together, and if you're forcing a connection with people that you shouldn't be meeting....I mean, I haven't been on that many. I think I've been on five dates since breaking up with my kids dad, and two of them were not through an app.

"There's this weird thing that you have with people you've met on an app, where you meet and you're both like: 'We're both single, we're both this, we're both that. So we should just try it. (But) I don't know if I would fancy you if I just met you in a bar. I'm doing it all based on what's on paper.' And then when you kiss.. everyone keeps going to me: 'You need to kiss him, you need to kiss him to feel if you've got chemistry."

Paloma also admitted that being famous adds an extra obstacle to the world of dating, because of preconceived ideas people have of what she is like. She went on: "Everyone pretends that they're not bothered (by me being in the public eye) but I can tell they are. It is weird because everyone sort of has an image of what you are. Or they say: 'I used to have a crush on you back in the day. And you're like: 'What?' It's just weird."

Paloma, who played the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage on Sunday, has partnered with GetYourGuide to offer fans the chance to walk London's hotspots with her. Speaking about the partnership, she said: "I'm passionate about being a Londoner and it's very much shaped who I am as a person. All the opportunities that come with it, and the exposure to different cultures. I've enjoyed being able to say: 'These places mean a lot to me."
