X FACTOR'S TREYC COHEN NEW CAREER 14 YEARS AFTER VIRAL APPEARANCE ON ITV SHOW

A former X Factor star has found newfound fame after going viral on social media thanks to an iconic performance.

Treyc Cohen appeared on the programme in 2010 alongside the likes of Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction. Her performances at her first audition and boot camp left the judges extremely impressed which saw her sailing through to judges' homes.

While performing for her mentor Cheryl Tweedy and guest judge will.i.am, Treyc didn't shy away from revealing she was ready to perform. As she made her way into the room to sing, Cheryl, 41, commented: "You look gorgeous, whenever you're ready." "I'm ready," said Treyc, before Cheryl added: "You said that with some determination."

"I'm ready," said Treyc, before a smiling Cheryl replied: "Ok, whenever you're ready." Despite being ready, Treyc was sent home from the competition in tenth place, leaving in week five. For her Save Me song, she performed Unbreak My Heart by Toni Braxton. Although she received the most public votes, she was ultimately sent home after the judges failed to reach a majority vote.

But, it appears that things have worked out for the singer who has gone on to make even more appearances on telly as well as landing roles in the West End. Since finding fame in 2010, Treyc has appeared in the likes of The Lion King, Hairspray and Beautiful.

Away from the land of London's bright lights, she has toured across the world with the band Jam Hot, which has seen her travel to the likes of Malta, the Maldives, Abu Dhabi, Italy and Morocco.

Just last year, Treyc found herself back on ITV screens having participated in the talent show Starstruck. During her stint on the singing show, she appeared on Team Chaka Khan, belting out some of Chaka's biggest hits for the judges Shania Twain, Beverley Knight, Jason Manford and Adam Lambert.

Reflecting on her stint on the show, she told fans: "We did it! Now that I have had a couple of days to digest all the love and beautiful comments myself and #teamchaka have received, I can honestly say this whole experience has been an absolute joy. I will never forget such a fantastic opportunity to perform on TV again with two of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. @gailwindrass @theangel_sings thank you for your friendship and talent. There is nobody else I would have chosen to do this with. You ladies are the best, no one can take this experience away from us, it was epic! @starstruckuk @itv @remarkabletv thank you, thank you, thank you."

Aside from her glittering career, Treyc is a doting mum to her two children. In 2017, she welcomed her first child, a son Gaibriel, as she shared an adorable snap to announce she had given birth. But earlier this year, she gave birth to her second child, a daughter called Nylah. Sharing a sweet snap of Nylah taken just hours after her arrival, Treyc penned: "Welcome baby Nylah.

"We are overjoyed to welcome our precious girl to our family. She was born in the week of love. Friday 16th February, Time - 5:13am, Weight 4lb 13oz. She was birthed @ home by myself and daddy. We completely free birthed this little darling with no medical assistance and it has to be one of the best experiences of my life."
