PREGNANT MEGAN MCKENNA THRILLED AS SHE SHARES SURPRISE GIFT FROM FIANCE
Megan McKenna shared her excitement with fans this week over an unexpected gift that she's received from her fiancé Oliver Burke in an update that comes amid her pregnancy.
The singer-songwriter, 31, often posts about her life on social media, including having announced in April that she and Oliver, 27, are expecting a baby together. She's kept fans updated in the months since they shared the news.
Amid the pregnancy, Megan took to Instagram on Thursday to express her gratitude towards the professional footballer after receiving an email from him. She gave a glimpse of it in her post and shared her reaction to his gift in the caption.
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate shared with her followers on the platform that Oliver - who plays for Birmingham City F.C. - had got her tickets to Taylor Swift's the Eras Tour. Megan teased that she will be joined by her younger sister Milly McKenna at the upcoming concert.
Megan shared a screenshot of an apparent email that she had received from her fiancé. The email read: "Enjoy! Taylor Swift VIP." She wrote about the gift in the accompanying caption and included Fearless (Taylor's Version) in the post.
Alongside crying emojis, she wrote in the post: "Just got this email." Megan continued in the caption: "When you have the best fiancé ever. And he surprises you and your bestie with Taylor Swift Eras [Tour] tickets." She added: "Whatttt!"
Addressing her sister, who she tagged in the post, she said: "[We] need to get our friendship bracelets ready & outfits sorted. omg omg omg what will we wear?!" Megan then issued a message for her partner, telling him: "Thank you, thank you, thank you [Oliver]. I love you so much."
Taylor's the Eras Tour reached the UK earlier this month after having visited several other countries previously in the year since it launched. Taylor performed at Wembley Stadium in London over three nights last week on it. She's scheduled to return for five shows at the venue in August.
A number of celebrities attended her concerts at the stadium over the weekend, with Piers Morgan among them. He later wrote about the experience, including having shared the lyric that was on a friendship bracelet he received whilst leaving the venue after the concert.
Megan has previously shared her appreciation of Taylor, including having teased that one of her songs could feature at her wedding. She hinted at a the prospect in a TikTok video shared in December, in which Megan sang Lover.
She told fans in the video ahead of her rendition: "Can you imagine this being your wedding walk down the aisle song?" Megan added in the caption at the time: "Our first wedding planning meeting is on Monday eeeeek. Wow I'm so excited for this chapter. ps @taylorswift I [heart] you."
