PAUL MESCAL SPOTTED 'SNORTING MYSTERY SUBSTANCE FROM KEY' IN GLASTONBURY CROWD

Paul Mescal appeared to sniff a mystery substance from a bag at Glastonbury Festival.

The actor, who recently left fans speechless after the first look of him in Gladiator II, appeared not to have a care in the world as he partied over the weekend, surrounded by thousands of revellers. Paul, 28, was spotted with his sister Nell, Saoirse Ronan and Andrew Scott over the weekend.

But while making the most of his downtime, it is claimed that Paul was seen snorting a substance from a key and bag while enjoying the live music on offer. The Irish hunk who shot to global fame after playing Connell Waldron in the hit series Normal People reportedly didn't care who saw what he was doing.

While watching the American band The National, Paul, who was spotted wearing his signature short shorts, appeared to cut loose as he appeared to use a key to scoop substance out of a small bag. The actor who was dancing away is said to have sniffed the substance on more than one occasion.

"Paul looked like he used a key to scoop some substance out of a bag which he lifted to his nose and sniffed," a source told The Sun. They went on to add: "He did it once then he dipped the key back into the bag and lifted it to his nose and sniffed again. Paul didn’t seem to care if anyone could see him. He was dancing and laughing with his friends." The Mirror has approached Paul's representatives for comment.

Over the weekend, the actor took in everything the festival had to offer, including a performance from Shania Twain on the Pyramid Stage during the iconic legends slot. A clip of Paul saying Shania's famous: "Let's go girls," sent fans wild when it appeared on social media.

"Love it," Shania responded alongside a string of laughing emojis. The actor who is known for his love of shorts rocked the famous pants along with a variety of shirts and t-shirts over the weekend as he basked in the warmer weather while on Worthy Farm, Somerset.

It comes as the first look images of Paul's role as Roman Empire Lucius Versus emerged on Monday night, showing his ripped physique after he hit the gym for the new movie. "He's a very, very good general, which can mean a very good killer," he said of his latest character.

The actor has previously opened up about his mental health after his fame continued to grow across the globe. In a candid admission, he said: "Is it just that more people will stop you in the street?" He added to PA: "I'd get profoundly depressed if that's so and hope it' isn't true."
