LULU, 75, LOOKS ALL PARTIED OUT AS SHE HEADS HOME AFTER RECEIVING MAJOR HONOUR

Lulu celebrated her success in style on Wednesday night as she won a major award.

The Scottish singer-songwriter appeared a bit dishevelled as she posed with her National Film Award while leaving the afterparty at Porchester Hall in London.

The 75-year-old Shout singer seemed slightly bleary-eyed as she headed home in a taxi after winning the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the comedy Arthur's Whisky.

The National Film Awards are an annual event that recognises achievements in both established and independent cinema. Lulu looked fashionable in a chic suit as she sat in the taxi clutching her new award, having earlier impressed in her all-black outfit on the red carpet.

Earlier in the evening, Lulu looked stylish as she graced the red carpet at the event. She donned an all-black outfit featuring an oversized blazer adorned with satin lapels and pockets. Lulu finished off the look with tight trousers, a sequinned top, chunky jewellery, and a pair of dark sunglasses.

Lulu's big night out follows her triumphant appearance at Glastonbury over the weekend. As she appeared on the Avalon stage at Worthy Farm on Friday, Lulu told the excited crowd: "I’m going to try and hold it together because I want to sing my ass off." The veteran Scottish singer asked the crowd whether they liked the Eurovision Song Contest before she performed Boom Bang-A-Bang, the track which made her joint winner of the competition in 1969.

The multi-talented star also performed David Bowie’s song The Man Who Sold The World and said releasing a version helped her “start the process of reinventing” herself. Before singing the James Bond theme The Man With The Golden Gun, Lulu told the crowd at the festival that she was "very happy to be a member of the 007 family".

The Eurovision Song Contest winner then cried and took a moment to compose herself following a loud round of applause from the audience at Glastonbury Festival. During her set, Lulu performed from her back catalogue of hits, which included We’ve Got Tonight, originally a duet with Irish singer Ronan Keating, and Relight My Fire, which was her hit with pop group Take That.

Despite the Irish boy band and Keating not appearing with her, the crowd joined in singing, clapping and dancing along as Lulu strutted around.
