DAVID MITCHELL, 49, AND VICTORIA COREN, 51, ENJOY RARE NIGHT OUT AFTER WELCOMING BABY GIRL
David Mitchell and Victoria Coren were all smiles as they made a rare public appearance together, 10 months after welcoming their baby daughter.
The actor, 49, and Victoria, 51, headed to a star-studded bash on Monday night. It marked one of their rare public appearances together since their surprise baby announcement last year. Victoria had shared the couple's happy news on social media back in November.
She opened up on clothes no longer fitting her after giving birth to the couple's second child. Taking to X, Victoria posted: "Many people are assuming my tweet yesterday was a Halloween costume. Not at all; last week I had a baby and nothing currently fits me except cloaks. Luckily, Only Connect is a pre-record. Happy All Saints Day."
The TV couple called their daughter, June Violet. David also addressed their new arrival in a short but sweet comment on the social media platform, posting under a tweet that read: "A huge congratulations to @RealDMitchell and @VictoriaCoren on the birth of their second child," he said: "Thank you! We're very happy."
David and Victoria headed to The Farm Shop in Mayfair alongside the likes of Katherine Ryan and Claudia Winkleman. Victoria looked gorgeous as she wore a blue flower patterned dress with stiletto heels and gold bag. David beamed alongside Victoria as he looked smart in a navy suit and open shirt.
The couple were snapped leaving the glitzy bash as they headed home in a black cab. Victoria and David's baby news was also confirmed in The Times. A notice read: "MITCHELL on 26th June October 2023 to Victoria and David, a daughter, June Violet sister to Barbara." The two met back in 2007 at a film premiere after they were first introduced to each other by fellow comedian David Baddiel.
Victoria previously admitted: "He specifically said to me, 'There’s David Mitchell over there, I think you should probably marry him, I’ll get the ball rolling by introducing you.'" David wrote in his 2012 autobiography, Back Story: "I was pretty sure she was flirting, but was unwilling to believe my instincts as that seemed too good to be true." The pair got along like a house on fire, but they didn't actually go on their first date until 2010, as Victoria explained her father had just died and the timing wasn't right.
David and Victoria welcomed their daughter Barbara Elizabeth June Mitchell in 2015, and they live together in Kilburn, North West London. In his book, David admitted he was "hopelessly in love" with his wife. "She’s not only too wonderful, she’s too right for me. She’s funny, bright, sexy, nervous and confident in ways that could have been meant for me," he gushed. They live a low-key life, but did once agree to give viewers a small glimpse into their home life when they appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox in 2020 - and they were a huge hit.
