CHRIS MARTIN'S LOOKALIKE KIDS WITH EX GWYNETH PALTROW AS COLDPLAY STAR ROCKS GLASTONBURY

When he's not headlining Glastonbury with Coldplay, Chris Martin is a doting dad to his two kids, Apple and Moses.

The Yellow star, 47, performed to rave reviews on Saturday at Worthy Farm in the West Country with his band, for a record-breaking fifth time. Apple, 20, and Moses, 18, were at the festival watching their dad, who is dating actress, Dakota Johnson, who accompanied the celebrity offspring to the glittering gig.

Chris shares his children with his ex Gwyneth Paltrow, who he was married to from 2003 to 2016. According to the Hollywood A-lister, the musician brings a "sweet child-like spirit" to his parenting, despite being away a lot.

She gushed: "He has a real sweetness, and so he brings that to the way that he parents them. He's sort of gone a lot, he’s on the road a lot, but brings – it’s almost like he comes and sprinkles fairy dust,' reports People.

The actress gave birth to the couple's daughter, Apple Blythe Alison Martin, on May 14, 2004. When the proud parents gave their baby the unusual moniker, they immediately received backlash - but according to Gwyneth, the name was Chris' idea.

"When we were first pregnant, her daddy said one day: "If it's a girl I think her name should be Apple'", she explained to Oprah Winfrey, adding: "It just sounded so sweet and it conjures such a lovely picture for me, you know apples are so sweet and they're wholesome and it's biblical and I just thought it sounded so lovely."

Doting dad, Chris previously shared with the outlet how he embarrassed his daughter at her first job in a clothing store, 16 years after she was born, recalling: "I just went to see her. And I thought I better buy something, so I took a T-shirt from the rack and I lined up in the queue. She was at the check-out and there were two check-outs," he explained, but she wasn't best pleased to see him - mouthing for him to 'get out'.

The singer continued: "I felt terrible so I moved to the other line, just holding my T-shirt, really scared of my daughter. I paid for the T-shirt and I bought her some fudge because she loves the candy fudge. So I said to the lady, 'Can you just give this to my daughter?' And as I was leaving, she shouted, 'I love you, Dad!'"

Nowadays, Apple is studying at Vanderbilt University, however she seems to be following in her father's foosteps. She co-wrote the song Let Somebody Go on Coldplay's Music of the Spheres album.

Her brother, Moses, is also dabbling in music. During his 2020 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which he had crashed while Gwyneth was being interviewed, he said: “I’m really into music … Right now I’d say I’m playing guitar the most – it used to be piano for a while, and now I’m doing guitar lessons.”

Last year, Moses collaborated with BTS sensation Jin on his single, The Astronaut. The song which was released on 28 October last year was reportedly written by Coldplay.

Chris's son graduated from high school in 2024 - leaving mum, Gwyneth, an empty nester. Telling her millions of followers how she was feeling about her son leaving, she said: "On the one hand, incredible sadness. A deep sense of impending grief. On the other hand, this is exactly what should be happening. Your kids are supposed to be, you know, young adults who can achieve and cope and make connections and be resilient. That's exactly what you want. And that means they leave the house."

As she celebrated his 18th birthday, she praised Moses for his 'sensitive soul' gushing: "I love your sensitivity and brilliance and quiet humour," before sharing: "I admire how deep you go into areas that interest you, becoming an expert in synths from the 80s and the French new wave. I love how much you love the people you love, but also how internal you are.

"There is such a magnificent world of ideas and harmonies inside that beautiful head of yours. I am unbelievably proud of the person you are today, as you cross over the threshold into adulthood. I love you more than words can say, @mosesmartin you absolutely kill me, Mama."
