DUA LIPA'S SURPRISE GLASTONBURY SPECIAL GUEST 'LEAKS' AHEAD OF HEADLINE SET

Dua Lipa is preparing to take to the stage for her headliner set at Glastonbury Festival this week and she's reportedly got plans to be joined by one of her former collaborators.

The five-day arts festival, which is held on Worthy Farm in Somerset, opened on Wednesday and is set to run through Sunday. A host of acts are scheduled to perform at the site, including singer-songwriter Dua, 28.

She will perform on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, ahead of fellow headliners Coldplay and SZA taking to the same stage over the weekend. Ahead of her set, it's been reported that she has a surprise lined up for the crowd.

It's been reported that Dua - whose recent singles include Houdini and Training Season - will introduce a special guest. She's reportedly set to be joined by Calvin Harris, 40, whom she previously collaborated with on the songs One Kiss, which won them a Brit Award in 2019, and Potion.

According to the Sun, DJ and record producer Calvin - who has performed at Glastonbury on several occasions in the past - is at accommodation outside of the festival grounds ahead of the set. A source told the outlet: "It seems Calvin is going to be coming out with Dua as one of her surprise guests tonight."

They added: "It is likely he will be flying in [from where he's staying] later on a helicopter before coming out to join her on stage for One Kiss. Dua has a huge amount of respect for Calvin and that track is one of her best hits."

There's also been speculation that Cyndi Lauper, 71, who is due to perform her own set on Saturday, could be another guest during Dua's headline set. It's rumoured that she was previously approached about the prospect.

Dua is expected to perform some of her biggest hits, which include the chart-topping New Rules, at the festival. It's believed that she will also showcase tracks from her latest album, Radical Optimism, which was released last month.

Announcing that she would be headlining on the Friday night, Dua said earlier this year: "I have dreamt of this moment all my life. Something that lived only in my wildest dreams and highest manifestations. I am so excited."

Earlier this week, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis, 44, revealed that Dua and fellow headliner SZA have helped fulfil a "passion project" for her. She discussed it whilst sharing what to expect from this year's festival.

Amid the launch, Emily - whose father Michael Eavis founded the festival more than 50 years ago - spoke to radio host Lauren Laverne on site. The interview aired on Lauren's BBC Radio 6 breakfast show on Wednesday.

Emily said: "Every year has such a different identity, doesn't it? This one, I suppose ... it's the first year we've got two female headliners, which is something that has been a bit of a passion project for me." She added: "That's a big one."
