MALAIKA ARORA EXPLAINS 'LOVE' AMID BREAKUP RUMOURS WITH ARJUN KAPOOR, SAYS 'WHERE TO DRAW THE LINE...'
Amid speculation about her breakup with Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora reflects on 'love', emphasising the importance of knowing boundaries and drawing lines in relationships. The model-actress seemingly going through a rough patch, skipped Gunday actor's recent midnight birthday celebration and didn't wish him on social media. Following this, Malaika Arora discussed the internet's toxicity in a recent interview. She shared how she has developed a shield to protect herself from negativity, whether from people, work environments, social media, or trolls.
Malaika admitted that while she is affected by such negativity and sometimes experiences emotions like crying and breaking down in private, she has learned to manage and insulate herself from it over time. "I’ve insulated myself from it. Whether it’s people, a work environment, social media or trolls. The minute I feel that energy, I recoil instantly. It’s something I’ve learned to do over time. It would get to me earlier and I would lose sleep over it. I’d be lying if I said things don’t affect me at all — I’m human too and so I will cry, break down and have all the emotions associated with being trolled. But you’ll never see that in public," she told Hello magazine.
Further, she doesn’t feel the need to engage with "some nameless, faceless person on the internet and justify myself to them." Adding, "Trolls mean nothing to me." Hinting Probably to breakup rumours, she stressed, "I’m aware of everything, I’m not living under a rock — but I just distance myself from it."
Malaika Arora, when asked about love, describes herself as a hardcore romantic. She affirms her commitment to the idea of true love. "I’ll never give up on the idea of true love, no matter what. I’m a typical Scorpio that way, so I’ll fight for love till the very end — but I’m also very realistic and know where to draw the line," Malaika added.
Meanwhile, rumours about Arjun and Malaika's relationship began in 2018 after they were seen together at a fashion show. Speculation continued until Malaika's 45th birthday, when they confirmed their relationship on social media. They subsequently spent time with each other's families, solidifying their bond. Arjun also discussed their relationship on Koffee With Karan, expressing his intention to take it to the next level.
