BTS MAKES SPECIAL CAMEO AT COLDPLAY CONCERT IN GLASTONBURY 2024; HERE'S CHRIS MARTIN GAVE SHOUTOUT TO GROUP

BTS has teamed up with several artists worldwide but their collaboration with Coldplay holds a special place for their fans. In 2021, Coldplay and BTS decided to collaborate on their single 'My Universe' and the song became a chartbuster worldwide. Coldplay recently performed at Glastonbury Festival 2024 in England and gave a shoutout to BTS. Lead singer Chris Martin greeted the crowd in Korean, which shocked fans and sent his love to BTS.

He said, "Though they are in the army right now, we are gonna sing all the way to Korea." While singing 'My Universe', he added, "To my brothers in BTS, we are sending so much love."

Earlier, talking about teaming up with BTS, Chris Martin said, "About 18 months ago, I got a message from somebody. They said, ‘BTS want to do a song with you. And I said, ‘How would that work?’ I didn’t understand how that could be possible.”

He added, "My friend said the phrase ‘my universe’ one day and I wrote down ‘my universe’ — I thought that’s a cool title. Then I took it to my friend and said, ‘OK, let’s do this demo for BTS'". Martin went on to travel to South Korea to meet BTS and called the group 'king of stadium tour' and 'a role model'.

The song won several awards including Melon Music Awards 2021, MTV Video Music Awards Japan, NRJ Music Awards, Planeta Awards, Japan Gold Disc Awards, Joox Malaysia Music Awards, MTV Millennial Awards and Nickelodeon Mexico Kids' Choice Awards, among others.

Jin later teamed up with Coldplay again for the song 'The Astronaut', which was about Jin's love for his fans and his gift before enlisting in the military. He later joined Coldplay at their concert in Argentina and performed to 'The Astronaut'. 'The Astronaut' is co-written by Coldplay, Jin and Kygo and produced by Kygo and Bill Rahko.
